“She has never lost her touch with people and her love of this College”

Awarded in 2008
Alumni Award

A French seminar in 1966 did more than broaden horizons for Donna Niesman, of the class of 1968. It gave her life numerous directions and inspired her to a career in travel. Her time at Beloit developed her key interest in people that led to thirteen years serving the people of Illinois and decades more of service to the graduates of Beloit. Today, with her bags always packed, she runs her own travel agency and uses her frequent flier miles to keep in touch with far-flung classmates here and abroad. Secretary of the Beloit College Alumni Association Board of Directors, class agent to the class of 1968 for two decades, class officer, generous Chapin Society member, and career advisor to students, she has never lost her touch with people and her love of this College. On this, the 40th anniversary of her graduation, the Beloit College Alumni Association is honored to confer upon her its annual Alumni Award in recognition of her devotion, service and support of this College.
